PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump claimed his predecessor, Barack Obama, wanted President Joe Biden to quit the 2024 presidential race and replace him with Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Republican presumptive nominee made the warning on his Truth Social platform amid Biden's struggle to retain his reelection bid for the Democratic ticket that fell into chaos after a pathetic debate performance last month.

Many Democratic elected officials and donors came forward demanding the 81-year-old to drop out of the race, pointing at his cognitive decline. However, Biden remained adamant to continue despite flunking the debate against Trump.

Earlier this month, the real estate mogul claimed that Biden was quitting the 2024 race and Harris would step in.

Trump comes up with claims that Biden and Obama hate each other

"OBAMA AND BIDEN HATE EACH OTHER! OBAMA NEVER RESPECTED BIDEN, THOUGHT HE WAS DUMB, AND A TOTAL LIGHTWEIGHT. WILL BE AN INTERESTING COUPLE OF WEEKS," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Friday, July 12.

"OBAMA WANTS HIM OUT, WANTS VP HARRIS IN!" the MAGA spearhead added without any evidence.

Obama, who chose Biden as his running mate during the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, has been in constant support since the incumbent ran for the White House in 2020.

However, the 44th president admitted his former vice president's debate show was a "bad night." In addition, recent reports signaled Obama's silence on the incumbent's reelection race was because he was attempting to disqualify Biden "behind the scenes."

Obama and Biden's longstanding friendship is well known. In March, the duo spent time together at the White House, according to CNN, which reported that the meeting was "cheerful." Besides, the 44th president also joined the octogenarian for a fundraiser, along with former President Bill Clinton, in New York the same month.

As calls for Biden's exit increased, Harris was highly speculated to be a potential replacement along with California Gov Gavin Newsom and Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer. However, in separate instances, the trio reiterated their support to the president.

In addition, Biden also did not appreciate the idea of his VP stepping into his shoes, which was evident from the press conference he gave after the NATO Summit in Washington, DC, on July 11.

The president claimed that no polls suggested he could not win and Harris was a better candidate than him while answering a reporter who asked whether he would step aside if his team showed data for the same.

Internet blasts Donald Trump

Outraged at Trump's claim of Obama's wish to replace Biden with Harris, netizens deemed the real estate mogul was jealous of the Biden-Obama bromance. Many pointed out Trump's failed relationship with his VP, Mike Pence, as a reason for the Truth Social rant.

"What ru talking about? They have a very close relationship unlike Trump and Pence. He's just jealous and Obama didn't try to have his VP's life endangered. That's why he didn't endorse Trump, but unfortunately he will still vote for him regardless! True Republican to the end! Sad," a user said.

"Sounds more like Trump projecting his feeling for Pence," another remarked.

"They are good friends but you would not know what it's like to have a good friend donny would you once you use people to get what you want you dump them eg Rudy etc," added a third user.

"They were tight. Like two brothers from another mother! So unlike you and Mike Pence," read a fourth response.

"He picked him as his VP twice. Trump’s VP wouldn’t even endorse him old boss," another person noted.

"Obama went on the campaign trail in 2020 for Biden and will again this year. You know who won’t go on the campaign trail for Trump? Mike Pence," someone else pointed out.

"Spreading more lies. Where does it end," an individual wrote.

"They worked in sync with each other for eight years. After your four year term Pence said he wouldn’t support you or vote for you along with 40 of your previous administration," another user added.
