Donald Trump released a statement on Truth Social, stating, "Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was!"

He added, "All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t."

Trump continued to discuss his usual campaign topics, criticizing Biden's approach to border issues before commenting, "We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" The first thing that Trump said in his statement was that Biden was "the Worst President, by far, in the History of our Nation."

Following Biden's announcement, the former president's campaign promptly initiated a new fundraising effort, stating, "But RIGHT NOW, he just quit the race in COMPLETE DISGRACE!"

In another post, Trump wrote, "So, we are forced to spend time and money on fighting Crooked Joe Biden, he polls badly after having a terrible debate, and quits the race. Now we have to start all over again."

"Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the Fake News Media, knew he was not capable of running for, or being, President? Just askin’?" Trump said.

"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term," he said in his statement.

The President swiftly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency, "My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made."
