Drew Barrymore says she'll 'grow old' with Adam Sandler as she looks forward to another movie with him

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Drew Barrymore opened up about her strong bond with longtime friend and co-star Adam Sandler.
The actress and talk show host, 50, reflected on their decades-long friendship and frequent collaborations during the April 23 episode of 'The Drew Barrymore Show'.

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, 58, have co-starred in three films — 'The Wedding Singer' (1998), '50 First Dates' (2004), and 'Blended' (2014).
During her talk show, Barrymore responded to a fan question about whether the duo would reunite for another movie.

"That's a yes. And it's a matter of when, but I don't think it'll be too long because we've always done something every 10 years," she said on the show.
"We're running out of time; we're past 10 years at this point," she said, per People.

She added that the extended break since their last collaboration was because they are still searching for the right project.
"We're constantly seeing each other and hanging out, so I think it's always a matter of, 'What is it?' So we're on the search for it because we're happy when we're together," said Barrymore.

Reflecting on their journey, Drew Barrymore noted how their personal lives have changed since they first worked together. She described how their projects evolved along with them.
"We've had so many evolutions. When we started 'The Wedding Singer', we were both young and single and in our early 20s," she said.
"Now we're both parents and have girls of a certain age," she said. "So what is the thing that's going to sort of speak to what we do next? We've just got to find it."

Drew Barrymore also revealed a dream collaboration idea involving another Hollywood favorite — Jennifer Aniston.

"I also am always fighting to do a movie with him and Jennifer Aniston. I so want to do a movie with the three of us," she revealed.
Closing on a personal note, Barrymore talked about the depth of her bond with Sandler and his family.

"I will grow old with him and Jackie," Barrymore said. "We're together all the time. His wife Jackie is my dear friend," she added, also sharing that their daughters are close as well.
