WEST MONROE, LOUISIANA: Phil Robertson’s family is putting up a united front in the wake of the 'Duck Dynasty' star’s battle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

According to an insider, the Robertson family is determined to give him the best life possible under the circumstances.

The 78-year-old Louisiana native rose to fame on 'Duck Dynasty', which ran for 11 seasons on A&E between 2012 and 2017.

Phil Robertson's family rallies around him as his health declines

"They want to give him the best life they possibly can under the circumstances and check in on him often and take him out for drives in the woods to reminisce about the good old days and make sure he’s getting the best care," an insider revealed, as reported by OK! Magazine.

"Everyone is worried," the insider went on to say. "His mental capacity has diminished due to early on-set Alzheimer’s, and he’s got a blood disorder that they believe is causing mini strokes."

Phil’s son, Jase, opened up about his father’s diagnosis during the December 6, 2024, episode of their 'Unashamed' podcast.

"I was like, ‘You know, your memory is not what it once was.’ He’s like, ‘Tell me about it.’ So, he is literally unable to — I think he would agree — to just sit down and have a conversation," Jase explained to fans.

Jase's brother Alan also discussed the challenges their father faced. "There’ll be some days he’s a little better, a little more with you, and other days, not so much," Alan shared.

Jase added that Phil's blood disorder had "accelerated" and had been "causing problems with his entire body".

"[He] can barely walk around without, you know, crying out in pain," he further said, adding, "We’ve got a team of doctors, and then we have another set of doctors who are looking at all the tests, and they’re all in agreement that there’s no curing what he has."

Phil Robertson sidelined from 'Duck Dynasty'

Phil Robertson's Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis came shortly after it was confirmed that he would not be involved in the upcoming series, 'Duck Dynasty: The Revival', set to premiere in 2025.

The new show, which will follow the Robertson family as they navigate the future of Duck Commander, their businesses, and family life, will focus on Willie and Korie Robertson.

The series will feature their signature humor and the dynamics of a family continuing to pass down the legacy of Duck Commander.

"With their dynasty expanding into more than just ducks, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy," read the logline for the new series.

Robertson had a brush with controversy, including being suspended from the original 'Duck Dynasty' series after making alleged derogatory comments about the LGBTQ+ community in an interview.

Despite the past controversies, his family continues to stand by him during this difficult time, focusing on providing care and love during the patriarch's battle with Alzheimer's.
