'DWTS' alum Cheryl Burke claps back at Anna Delvey for saying she's taking 'nothing' away from show
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent episode of 'Dancing With the Stars,' Anna Delvey made headlines with her blunt statement about her experience on the show, claiming she took "nothing" away from it.
Cheryl Burke, a veteran pro dancer who has dedicated 26 seasons to the series, had a pointed response, emphasizing that the sentiment might be mutual among fans.
Cheryl Burke claps back at Anna Delvey's 'DWTS' remarks
Burke expressed her thoughts to Variety, saying, “I believe that the feeling is mutual from the fans of the show.”
Her remarks come in the wake of Delvey's elimination alongside her partner Ezra Sosa during the first double elimination of the season, which also saw Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov leaving the competition.

During her time on the show, Delvey’s responses to questions about her experience were notably dismissive. When co-host Julianne Hough asked her what she would take from her time on the show, Delvey replied flatly, “Nothing.”
In a subsequent interview with 'Good Morning America,' she further stated, “Getting eliminated,” was her favorite part.
Burke previously voiced her opinions on Delvey's participation in the competition through her podcast 'Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans.' She mentioned that for Delvey to gain support from the audience, she needed to show more vulnerability and emotion. "People are not happy about her being on the show."
"The only way, though, that she can change people’s minds is if she shows emotion. This is key. She’s continuing to leave a bad taste in people’s mouths because she’s not willing to be vulnerable. And unfortunately, with a show like this, you either are trusting the process and are willing to go for it, or you’re not, and you’re trying to be cool or you’re trying to think, like, I’m trying to reinvent myself. But just do the work because the reinventing of yourself will happen, I promise, if you just focus on what is ahead, which is your next dance.”
Other 'Dancing With the Stars' alumni have also reacted to Delvey's comments. Amanda Kloots, co-host of 'The Talk' and a former contestant, expressed her disappointment, stating that her own experience on the show was "life-changing" and "healed me in ways I never expected it to."
Similarly, co-host Alfonso Ribeiro shared his gratitude, saying, “My life has changed greatly… my career is back because of that show, I owe everything to that show.”
Cheryl Burke's comments on Anna Delvey stir up social media buzz
Cheryl Burke's recent comments regarding Anna Delvey's participation in 'Dancing With the Stars' have sparked a flurry of reactions on social media. Following Delvey's blunt statement that she took "nothing" from her experience on the show, Burke expressed that the sentiment was mutual among fans, igniting a debate about Delvey's presence on the show.
One user voiced strong disapproval, stating, "That was completely arrogant and jaw-dropping. The co-hosts were gracious and managed to keep things moving. I'm glad she is gone. Now the show can continue." Another praised fellow contestant Tori Spelling, noting, "Tori was good last night. She danced better than a couple of others. Oh well... the show must go on."
Another user described Delvey as "She is a selfish, self centered, insecure, bad person. I feel for her partner on the show. Her response to the question proved that she was only trying to draw more attention to herself."
Another user wrote, "Such a waste of a contestant spot. She has no empathy or soul."
"And we got nothing from her as she has nothing to give. Never did," a user said.
Criticism continued with one user stating, "Doesn’t surprise me. She acts like she is better than everything and everyone. I doubt she cares about anyone or anything but herself."
In contrast, some users supported Burke, with one proclaiming, "Cheryl Burke speaks facts."
