Eddie Murphy’s son Eric gets engaged to Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin: ‘God truly blessed us’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Eddie Murphy’s son Eric is now an engaged man after proposing to Martin Lawrence's daughter Jasmin on November 27.
The couple announced the happy news on Saturday, November 30, to their fans and followers via a joint Instagram post, E! News reported.
The video shared on social media platform was set to Eric Benet’s song ‘Spend My Life with You’ as it showed a room filled with candles and white roses.

It also showed how surprised and happy the eldest of Martin's three children was after seeing Eric’s gesture.
Eric then went down on one knee and proposed to his lady love with a diamond ring as Jasmin exclaimed, “It’s beautiful. Oh my gosh,” before saying, “Yes.”
The caption of the beautiful moment read, “11.27.2024 We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ❤️❤️ ”
“Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!” it added.
Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy went public with their relationship in 2021
Though it is not exactly clear when the two love birds began dating, but they went Instagram official in late June 2021, reports People.
At the time, Eric shared two photos with Jasmin and wrote, “Head over heels in LOVE with YOU @jasmin_lawrence ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #myotherhalf #equallyyoked #iloveyou.”

A few weeks later, the 28-year-old internet personality also posted photos with her man while wishing him a birthday.
She captioned the images as “Happy birthday, my love! I’m so incredibly blessed to know you, to love you, and to have you by my side. Cheers to many more blessings, laughs, and beautiful memories! I love you so much!! 🖤✨”

In January 2022, Jasmin spoke about Eric with InTouch Weekly. She reportedly shared, “It wasn't even our dads, and they've done two movies together, they're friends,” revealing that it was her uncle who played the cupid.
“We became really good friends because we bonded on a lot of things. And over time, it just, you know, became more,” she added.

Meanwhile, Eric is not only a fan of Jasmin but he also adores his future father-in-law whom he supported during April 2023 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
