Elizabeth Hurley says she's ready to introduce Billy Ray Cyrus to her family and dogs: 'It’ll be lovely'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elizabeth Hurley is just weeks away from turning 60, and she’s looking forward to marking the milestone with someone special.

The actress revealed plans to celebrate her big day on June 10 in the company of her new partner, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus made headlines when they posted photos together on Easter Sunday, confirming months of speculation about their budding romance.

Hurley shared her excitement about the upcoming celebration during an appearance at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation event in New York City recently.

“I am looking forward to celebrating with Billy Ray,” Hurley told Hello. “He should be in England for my birthday. He’ll be meeting my family – and my dogs – and hopefully, it’ll be lovely.”

Speaking about aging, the actress shared that she feels good about turning 60.

“I love every birthday,” she said. “I always get overexcited if it’s a big birthday. I think people are even nicer to you, maybe give you more presents, more flowers, and generally spoil you more. I welcome it.”

Elizabeth Hurley says she and Billy Ray Cyrus ‘get on extremely well’

Reflecting on the public response to her relationship with the country singer, Elizabeth Hurley admitted the romance caught many people off guard.

“I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising,” Hurley told Page Six on the same day.

“It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well,” she added, before noting, “There has been quite a reaction.”

The 'Austin Powers' star, who hosted the event, shared a glimpse into their romance.

“We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country,” Hurley said. “And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”

In a separate interview with the Daily Mail, Hurley added, “Billy’s a lovely man and we make each other very happy," US Weekly reported.

Billy Ray Cyrus recalls ‘chemistry’ with Elizabeth Hurley after reconnecting 

Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley initially met while filming 'Father Christmas Is Back' in 2021. In an April 24 appearance on 'The Ty Bentli Show', Cyrus recalled their first meeting fondly.

“There was a chemistry there,” he said, according to MEAWW. “We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot.”

The two lost touch after filming until Hurley reached out to him in 2024 with a kind message amid his split from ex-wife Firerose.

“Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough, and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner,” she wrote.

At the time, Cyrus didn’t recognize the sender, but once he realized who it was, the pair reconnected and started dating in early 2025.

According to a Page Six insider, Hurley had been waiting “a long time for romance.” They added, “I think she likes the whole cowboy thing.”
