‘Today’ host blames Nicole Kidman for Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus romance: ‘Found holy grail’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Today' show host Justin Sylvester blamed Nicole Kidman for Elizabeth Hurley's new relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus and claimed that 'The Perfect Couple' star started the trend of dating country musicians.
Hurley stunned her fans on Easter Sunday, April 20, when she shared a picture on Instagram of Billy Ray, cuddled up to her, and kissing her on the cheek, according to the Irish Star.
The couple shared the romantic picture with a caption that read "Happy Easter", and added a love heart emoji as they went Insta official.

Justin Sylvester blames Nicole Kidman for Elizabeth Hurley's romance with Billy Ray Cyrus
Justin Sylvester talked about the new couple on the Monday, April 21, episode of 'Jenna and Friends', which he is guest co-hosting this week.
He said, "Easter is the Lord’s day, OK? Jesus said, 'You can have 363 [days]. I just need Easter and Christmas.' But Elizabeth Hurley did not get the memo because she used Easter to hard-launch her new relationship."

He continued, "And you guys will never guess with who. Billy Ray, Miley Cyrus’ dad, Cyrus. Can you believe this?"
"First of all, it came out of left field, but I blame Nicole Kidman for this. I blame Nicole Kidman. I’m blaming her," he added.

Sylvester believes Kidman's romance with country singer Keith Urban sparked a trend of famous women dating male country music artists, per the outlet.
When co-host Jenna Bush Hager laughed and asked him why he was blaming Kidman, Sylvester said, "Back in the day, actors dated actors. Sometimes they dated rock stars, but they never dated country musicians. Nicole Kidman went to Nashville and found the holy grail."

"She found herself a country man who was simple, he just wanted bourbon, he wanted to be on a tractor, he wanted to watch a movie, and she was like, 'Keith, get over here.' And then, all of a sudden, you have Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton," he further said.
Sylvester added, "We should’ve known this was happening, and I’m sorry. I was off because I was celebrating the Lord. But Elizabeth Hurley posted a little Easter egg earlier this month. She posted this bikini video, and she was using a Billy Ray Cyrus song in the background."
Insiders claim Billy Ray Cyrus started dating Elizabeth Hurley as soon as third marriage ended
Sources revealed to The Sun that Billy Ray Cyrus started dating Elizabeth Hurley as soon as his third marriage to Firerose ended in August 2024.
"There has always been a spark, but he reached out again last year when his short-lived third marriage ended. He has had a really hard time, but she has been there helping him turn things around," an insider revealed to the outlet.

The source added, "Liz has been really great for him, but her friends are cautious because of what’s been said in the past about him. She insists he has turned a corner and is a changed man."
The insider also mentioned that Hurley has been encouraging Billy Ray to mend his fractured relationship with his daughter Miley Cyrus, as well as his other children.
Meanwhile, a source earlier informed Daily Mail that Billy became "a recluse" after his separation from Firerose because he "truly believed" she was "the one".
