Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi multi-million luxury home hit by floods in UK: 'This is the worst'
COTSWOLD, ENGLAND: Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s new life in the English countryside has been disrupted by severe flooding.
The couple’s recently purchased multi-million-pound farmhouse in the Cotswolds has been reportedly swamped by floodwaters just days after they moved in after fleeing the US following Donald Trump's win.

The flooding occurred after a tributary of the River Thames, which flows beside Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's property, burst its banks due to intense rainfall and winds reaching up to 80 mph.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple’s 43-acre estate became inundated after the area experienced the effects of Storm Bert.
Roads surrounding the property have been submerged in up to five feet of water, leaving residents trapped.
"The floodwaters are rising by the hour. This is the worst I have seen it in years," a local told the outlet.
Reportedly there have been at least five people killed in the UK due to Storm Bert.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s new home offers peaceful, luxurious retreat
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi reportedly paid £2.5 million ($3.18 million) over the asking price for their dream home.
Originally built as a farmhouse, the property was converted into a modern luxury home more than 15 years ago while maintaining its old-world charm.
The estate features six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a five-bay garage, a separate one-bedroom cottage, and additional amenities like a gym and game room. A source told the Daily Mail, "It really is a beautiful house."
The source added, "It's so quintessentially English, which as Americans they have fallen in love with, although they can forget about any glamorous Southern California nightlife and weather. The area itself is very quiet, some might even say boring, especially in the colder months, but there are lots of celebrities in the area."
