In the last few years, DeGeneres has faced several controversies that almost ended her TV career. The pair were, however, relying on their real estate empire to weather through the storm.

But insiders have now reportedly claimed that their relationship may be declining as the couple is having issues.

In August, ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ star and her actress wife sold their 10-acre estate in Santa Barbara County for $96 million to mining magnate Robert Friedland.

They had reportedly purchased the property in 2022 for $70 million.

The duo is also reportedly the owners of a Bel Air Mansion that they bought for $29 million, a Montecito home worth around $14 million, and their $8.8 million Coldwater Canyon Home.

Insiders say Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s marriage ‘wasn’t exactly celebratory’

Sources said, “Ellen is known for flipping houses, but this one is different. It was their dream home. They just celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary [on August 16], but it wasn’t exactly celebratory.”

They further explained, “Ellen being home all the time has taken a toll on their marriage. And Portia isn’t working much either. They’re always in each other’s faces, and frankly, they’re getting on each other’s nerves. Now Portia probably wishes she hadn’t. She doesn’t have her space. Every time she turns around, there’s Ellen…”

“Ellen has lost so much in recent years — it would be terrible if she lost Portia, too,” the sources added.

Meanwhile, people have shared their thoughts on DeGeneres and Rossi’s relationship.

The 66-year-old comedian shared on Instagram, “I will be celebrating my 16th wedding anniversary on the 16th of August in Minneapolis filming my final Netflix special. What a day!!!”

“I’m so lucky to be loved by the most amazing person I’ve ever met. I love you, Portia. You’re my everything,” DeGeneres added.
