LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ellen DeGeneres has faced flak online over her 'Kind Science' skincare line advertisement four years after she was canceled amid a toxic workplace scandal.

DeGeneres appeared in an ad alongside wife Portia de Rossi, 51, in which she waxed lyrical about the anti-aging benefits of her line, according to Daily Mail.

Elle DeGeneres said in the ad, "I noticed a difference in my skin. I notice a difference in yours (Portia). People see you and they make a big deal about your skin and it feels really good. All thanks to Kind Science."

She continued, "Tons of customers have seen results. So here's what I am gonna do. Something I have never done before. I am going to give a Kind Science DeGeneres deal. You will get four of my favorite products."

The former talk show host added, "The clinical study of Kind Science users. 94 percent of people had less visible lines and wrinkles. Because it is great product."

However, people were not impressed with the advertisement and slammed her on social media for 'not being kind to her staff'. Notably, her daytime talk show ended in 2022 following allegations of intimidation, racism, and other serious allegations at her workplace.

Notably, as per the outlet, the video comes after DeGeneres' move to the UK following Donald Trump's presidential election win.

Ellen DeGeneres' workplace drama

Elle DeGeneres' scandal was initiated by a tweet penned by comedian Kevin T Porter in March 2020 asking people for the 'most insane stories you've heard about Ellen being mean', which had more than 2,600 replies.

A few months later, BuzzFeed News published an expose featuring one current and 10 former employees of DeGeneres daytime talk show alleging racism, workplace bullying, and some more serious allegations.

By August 2020, WarnerMedia launched an internal investigation, DeGeneres had issued a formal apology to her 255 employees, and executive producers Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman were all fired from the show, according to Daily Mail.

Notably, DeGeneres aired her final episode of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on May 26, 2022, after 19 seasons. She later branded it a 'coordinated misogynistic' attack on her and has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since the talk show's finale.
