WASHINGTON, DC: Elon Musk has been called many things—tech billionaire, space cowboy, meme lord, etc—but it seems psychic might be next on his resume.

As a series of protests and vandalism engulf Tesla, CEO Musk's bold prediction from years ago recently resurfaced.

On Saturday, April 5, he reacted to a post referencing his 2022 tweet by commenting, “Like clockwork.” The May 19, 2022, post saw Musk dump on the Democrats in a no-holds-barred tweet.

"In the past, I voted Democrat because they were (mostly) the kindness party," he wrote in the post. "But they have become the party of division & hatred, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold..."

Fast-forward to today, and it looks like Elon’s "dirty tricks" prediction may have come true—because his company Tesla is under siege like never before since he became the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has cut funding to various government agency, sparking mass layoffs across the world.

In the past few weeks, a movement called the “Tesla Takedown” has gone full throttle. Hundreds of vandals are rallying outside Tesla showrooms around the globe, calling out Musk and torching Teslas, as per Fox News.

This comes after DOGE has been slashing federal jobs and shutting down agencies Musk sees as wasteful.

Thousands of federal workers have reportedly been told to “resign voluntarily,” and Musk hasn’t held back on his opinions either. He called Social Security a “Ponzi scam,” and there are growing fears he may push for actual cuts to Social Security payments.

According to reports, hundreds of Tesla vehicles have been set ablaze, and other Tesla properties have been vandalized. Amid all this, the Donald Trump administration has labeled Tesla vandals as "domestic terrorists."

Musk, for his part, said that the violence has left him stunned. “I never did any violence to anyone,” he said. But he’s more concerned about the bigger game behind it all.

“I’m more worried about the people behind the Tesla Takedown protest, the people who put their money behind taking down Tesla," Musk insisted.

California Tesla owner offers $25K reward after his vehicle gets vandalized

It’s not just Elon Musk feeling the heat—regular Tesla drivers are catching strays too.

California Tesla owner Jason Bedell's Cybertruck was brutally vandalized in his own driveway. A suspect was caught on security footage chucking a cement block at the windshield and slashing all four tires—while his 4-year-old son was asleep inside the house.

Now, Bedell’s offering a $25,000 reward for infomation that leads to an arrest, MEAWW previously reported.

“An example does need to be made here,” he told 'Fox & Friends'. “That is one of the reasons why I'm offering such a large cash reward for the person that did this.”

But this wasn’t a one-off. Bedell says he’s felt hostility for a while.

“When I drive my Teslas around, I get a lot of middle fingers, a lot of thumbs down, a lot of really hard stares,” he explained. “But I’m not going to be scared … I’m going to keep driving my Tesla.”

Attacks on Tesla vehicles across the United States

A Fox News analysis uncovered at least 50 similar attacks on Tesla owners and properties across the country. They included keying, spray painting, smashed windows, and even an alleged drive-by shooting.

Musk has called the wave of incidents "wide-scale domestic terrorism.”

He has also pointed fingers at those he believes are the real culprits—those allegedly stoking the flames from behind the scenes.

“The real problem is not the people. It’s not like the crazy guy that firebombs a Tesla dealership,” Musk told Fox News's Bret Baier. “It’s the people pushing the propaganda that cause that guy to do it. Those are the real villains here.”
