Elon Musk had private chat with Donald Trump before he publicly expressed regret over their feud: Report

WASHINGTON, DC: Elon Musk first reportedly approached President Donald Trump via a phone call on Monday, June 9, night before publicly regretting his feud with him on X, previously known as Twitter.
The billionaire also had a phone call with Vice President JD Vance and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles on Friday, June 6, as well, CNN reported, citing two sources.

One insider spilled that by the time Wiles and Vance had words with Musk, the SpaceX CEO “appeared to already be backing off at that point, and the president wasn’t as pissed by then as he was the day before.”
Elon Musk admits to have gone ‘too far’ in attacking Trump
The publication also reported that after having the conversations on phone, Musk decided to go public with his remorse about his decision to attack the Republican leader, which included him alleging that Trump blocked the release of the Epstein files as he was named in it.
He had even suggested that the commander-in-chief should be impeached.

But in the early hours of Wednesday, June 11, he posted, “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.”

Trump appreciates Elon Musk’s tweet
The Daily Beast, citing a New York Times report, said that the advisers on both sides worked to mend Musk and Trump’s relationship, despite the latter claiming last week that the Tesla CEO had “lost his mind” and he was not interested in restoring their friendship.

He even told CNN, “I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem.”
However, it seems Trump has now gone soft.
As per a new report by The New York Post, the 78-year-old said during a brief phone conversation Wednesday morning, “I thought it was very nice that he did that.”
Besides, recently when Trump spoke with New York Post columnist Miranda Devine on the debut episode of ‘Pod Force One', he said about Musk, “Look, I have no hard feelings. I was really surprised that that happened. He went after a bill that’s phenomenal. …He just — I think he feels very badly that he said that, actually.”

The 47th president also mentioned that he was “disappointed” in the former senior advisor but also said that he does not “blame him for anything. I was a little disappointed.”
Elon Musk began feud by slamming Trump's 'big beautiful bill'

The issue between Musk and Trump reportedly first started when the former criticized Trump's signature spending bill.
He had tweeted, “I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”
The White House hit back as spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said at a White House briefing, as per Reuters, “Look, the president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill. It doesn't change the president's opinion. This is one big, beautiful bill, and he's sticking to it.”
