OXON HILL, MARYLAND: Elon Musk sure knows how to make an entrance.

On Thursday, February 20, he stormed the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Oxon Hill, Maryland, and wielded a blinged-out chainsaw like he was starring in the MAGA edition of 'Mad Max'.

The over-the-top accessory was a gift from Argentina’s chainsaw-wielding, cost-cutting President Javier Milei—and Musk made sure everyone knew exactly what it symbolized.

Elon Musk brandishes a 'chainsaw for democracy'

Dressed in a black "Make America Great Again" hat, Elon Musk hyped up the crowd with his latest update on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—the agency slashing federal jobs and spending left and right.

"This is the chainsaw for democracy," Musk told the roaring audience as he revved up the Milei-approved prop. He then added, "Legalize comedy...It seems like we should have a good time, you know."

Seated with TV personality Rob Schmitt, Musk wasted no time taking aim at the Joe Biden administration.

"I thought we were sort of heading to a point of no return, really," he admitted. "And so that's why it was so essential that President Trump won the election and that there be a Republican majority in the House and Senate, which thanks to you has been accomplished."

"We need to restore the fundamental elements of what made America great, which is freedom and opportunity," Musk told the crowd.

The billionaire also claimed that legacy outlets are “villainizing” him for simply wanting to protect free speech. "Legacy media is just an echo chamber," Musk declared, arguing that federal funding should be pulled from news organizations.

Musk then moved on to his other agenda items. He defended DOGE’s massive government cuts, arguing that they would save Medicare and Social Security, USA Today reported.

The SpaceX and Tesla boss also demanded public access to Fort Knox’s gold reserves. “All this gold at Fort Knox, it’s the public’s gold. It’s your gold, so I think you like have a right to see it," Musk said. “It should be a live tour like you can see what’s going on, what’s behind it.”

Musk also went off on immigration, calling the current border situation a "giant voter importation scam."

When Schmitt suggested that Musk and Trump were getting heat for “screwing with things that aren’t supposed to be messed with," Musk didn’t hesitate. "We're fighting the matrix big time here. It's got to be done," he responded.

Elon Musk was brutally slammed online for his chainsaw stunt. "You don’t give a man-child a chainsaw," one social media user posted on X. Another wrote, "Bro has no social skills."

"Apparently, the kid wasn't available today & he obviously needs a prop," one person said.

"A lot of people have spent their lives getting educated and becoming experts at things, crafting good values, and learning the history about what makes our country great. To witness this show of clownery at the top of our country’s structure of power is head-spinning," another added.

"So I can see that Chainsaws will soon be offered as part of the Trump merchandise grift, autographed by DOGE Master Musk and KING Trump with your choice of a bonus pair of sun or safety glasses if you are 1 of the first 47 to order!" someone else joked.

"I wonder how the people he caused to lose their jobs feel about this grandstanding at their expense?" another wondered.

One person said, "Any apocalypse, please! Asteroid, nuke, zombie, those fucking apes from the movies? Can we get a respectable space alien invasion???"

Another remarked, "So f**king ridiculous and embarrassing, ugh I'm still cringing."

One individual asked, "Anyone want to bet he has no idea how to start it?" Another commented, "He's never going to be funny no matter how hard he tries."

One netizen questioned, "Can we pass a budget that sends him to Mars already? I don't care how many taxpayer dollars it costs."

Another even compared him to the Argentine President Javier Milei and asked, "Javier Melei much?"
