NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg took a jibe at Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday, February 18, as she blamed his "DOGEY" department for the Delta plane crash in Toronto, Canada, according to NewsBusters

Apart from this, the EGOT winner also demanded to know when she or the other citizens gave NASA or the government permission to sign contracts with Musk's companies.

Whoopi Goldberg blames mass firings by Elon Musk's DOGE for Delta plane crash

During the Hot Topics segment on the Tuesday, February 18, episode, Whoopi Goldberg lashed out at Elon Musk for all the recent plane crashes and said, "I have been panicking over all this insanity with these planes!" as she stumbled over the pronunciation of the acronym for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

On Monday, a Delta Air Lines airplane carrying 80 passengers from Minneapolis flipped upside down while landing on the snowy runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport, injuring at least 18 people, as per CNN.

She continued, "And there's all kinds of stuff going on. Like, so let's start with the string of mass firings by Elon Musk's Dodge – Doege? Dogge? Doggy. Dogey. Has sparked a lot of chaos, confusion, and fear…"

Goldberg went on to point out how Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is defending the firing of 400 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) workers despite the wave of recent plane accidents, as per the outlet.

During the end of the segment, 'The View' co-host called on Musk to be what gets "cut" next as she could not remember what a government contract was.

She said, "Elon has very many, what do you call it" when her co-host Sunny Hostin added, "Government contracts."

Furthermore, she demanded to know when she permitted the government to buy Telsa Cybertrucks and go into contract with SpaceX.

"I don't remember looking for an armored car. I don't remember asking for it, I don't know why I'm paying for it. I want to know when did I say, 'Hey, we need another agency next to NASA, so let's just' – So, when did we start paying for his stuff?" Goldberg questioned.
