Goldberg's return to the Oscars after a 10-year hiatus coincides with her 'Ghost' co-star Demi Moore’s nomination for Best Actress in ‘The Substance,' as per Irish Star.

Goldberg’s Oscar journey began in 1985 when she was nominated for Best Actress for her role as Celie Harris-Johnson in 'The Color Purple'. Six years later, in 1991, she won Best Supporting Actress for her iconic performance in 'Ghost'.

Reflecting on her time at the Academy, she shared how much it meant to her: “Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted this. I come from New York. As a little kid, I lived in the projects and you're the people I watched. You're the people who made me want to be an actor. I'm so proud to be here.
