PHOENIX, ARIZONA: Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk, widow of late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, publicly endorsed Vice President JD Vance’s potential 2028 presidential campaign, saying she will work “in the most resounding way possible” to help him win and ensure Republican control of Congress.

Kirk, who took over leadership of Turning Point USA after her husband Charlie was killed in September, made the remarks during her speech at AmericaFest 2025, a major conservative gathering in Phoenix that drew thousands of supporters.

“We are going to get my husband’s friend JD Vance elected for 48 in the most resounding way possible,” Kirk said in front of thousands of activists at the Phoenix Convention Center. The end of her statement was drowned out by cheers following the endorsement.

In addition to endorsing Vance, she spoke about expanding Turning Point USA’s influence on college campuses in 2026 through initiatives designed to make debate and conservative engagement more appealing.

It has been widely rumored that Vance may run for president in 2028, though he has not made a public announcement. Many observers believe a presidential bid would be a natural next step, given that he currently serves as vice president.

Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk, remains one of the most influential organizations within the MAGA movement, particularly among young conservatives.

An early endorsement from TPUSA could provide a significant advantage over other Republican contenders at the start of the race.

She also said the group plans to help President Donald Trump “ensure that President Trump has Congress for all four years."

Earlier, Erika said that Turning Point USA’s support for Vice President JD Vance in a possible 2028 presidential election bid is “in the works.” Kirk made the comments to Megyn Kelly during her live show in Glendale, Arizona, over the weekend.

Erika’s support for Vance reflects the close relationship her late husband, Charlie, shared with the vice president.

Charlie, the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth advocacy organization, was a vocal supporter of Vance throughout his 2022 Senate campaign and played a key role in elevating his profile among national conservative audiences.

“My attitude is the American people elected me to be vice president,” Vance told The New York Post in October.

“I’m going to work as hard as I can to make the president successful over the next three years and three months, and if we get to a point where something else is in the offer, let’s handle it then.”
