LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miranda Lambert doesn’t mind constructive criticism, especially when it comes from her husband Brendan McLoughlin.

The ‘Drunk’ singer appeared on the ‘Tamron Hall Show’ and shared that though McLoughlin always supports her, but gives an honest response.

“My husband tells me the truth. He gives me harsh reality, and I love it,” the Grammy winner told Hall.

“I like to say he calls me on my s---, which I love because everybody needs somebody in their life like a truth-teller,” the 40-year-old continued. “He's very New York about it.”

How did Miranda meet her husband?

The pair met in November 2018 for the first time at Lambert’s performance on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America.’

McLoughlin was working in security, and the two kept their romance away from the limelight, before revealing their marriage on Valentine’s Day 2019.

Talking about the constant support she gets from McLoughlin and his mother, Lambert said, “I mean I couldn't do any of this without her. We had eight shows, she came to nine. I think my mom was here when no one was here.”

Lambert on constant family support

The singer's mother recognized the support she provided when her grandmother Beverly was diagnosed with breast cancer.

“It really gives you a lot of perspective, and it really reiterated to me just how many people it touches in bad and good ways. People come out of the woodwork to support you, and you don't understand the toughness of that all the stress on the entire family until you've gone through it,” explained Lambert.

“It was really eye-opening for our whole family, but we're very, very close.”

In her interview in June, the ‘Wanda June Home’ founder told People, "The women in my family were very strong-headed, strong-willed, and made something out of nothing because we didn't come from much," Lambert said.

"My whole life, I've watched my mother go through some hard stuff, pick herself up by her bootstraps and go kick ass. That's just who she is. I got so much of that from her, and she got it from her mom," she added.
