LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Tom Brady is all set to become a minority-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders team.

The NFL legend is reportedly buying a 10% stake in the team with his business partner Tom Wagner.

The league, however, needs to approve Brady’s bid, which means 24 of the NFL’s 32 team owners are yet to give a green signal to the footballer's proposal.

How much money will Tom Brady be paying to the Las Vegas Raiders franchise?

It is still not clear how much Tom Brady will be paying to the Las Vegas Raiders but, as per CNBC’s official 2024 NFL Team Valuation, the franchise is pegged as the league’s fifth-most valuable franchise worth $7.8 billion.

Interestingly, it is reported that its value went up after the team relocated from Oakland in 2020.

Moreover, the outlet reported that the Raiders went on to earn $780 million in revenue in 2023, which was the third highest in the league.

Once the deal is approved, Brady will become the third former NFL player to become a team owner, according to NBC News.

Fans excited to see Tom Brady in a new role at NFL

Netizens expressed their enthusiasm on Tom Brady’s decision to buy stakes of Las Vegas Raiders team.

One person commented on X, "Praying he brings some excellence back to this team. Great players aren’t always great front office guys too"

"Raiders might actually have a future," another enthusiastic fan wrote.

An individual questioned, "Get him out of the booth then… how are we allowing an owner of a team to call games?"

"So he is an owner and a commentator? What are the rules with that?" another joined.

One user opined, "He should give up his gig on Fox i love him and am a big fan, i think if you want to be an owner and have a lot of influence on a team, you cannot be in a booth and do the job of color commentating every Sunday got to pick."

"Brady's influence on the Raiders could be a game-changer. His leadership and football IQ will undoubtedly shape the direction of the franchise," a fan shared.

"He's a minority owner tho. Why can't he own the whole corporation," a curious fan felt.
