The confrontation took place at a Love's Travel Stop on 3201 Ameristar Dr in Kansas City, Missouri, according to the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.
Scaggs, who was working as a security guard at the store, asked the customer to stop smoking inside, which escalated the tension between the two.
They both went outside, where Scaggs took out his knife and allegedly attacked the customer. The authorities were called around 3.40 am at a gas station over the wounding, reported TMZ.
