According to Radar Online's report, one fan commented, "It's like her whole face morphed," while another added, “That is not Selena Gomez,” inferring that the star looked vastly different from her usual self.
The speculation around Gomez’s appearance intensified, with many fans speculating that her new look was due to the addition of veneers.
However, cosmetic surgeon Dr Giselle Prado-Wright has weighed in on the situation, suggesting that the actress's altered appearance is more likely the result of a popular cosmetic procedure known as a "lip flip."
Dr Prado-Wright explained, "Alternative explanation, she got a lip flip, which is anti-wrinkle injections around the lip area. This can cause weakness of the muscles of the mouth, which presents as difficulty speaking and trouble using straws."
Dr Prado-Wright also shared her personal experience with the procedure, noting that while she had no issues with her mouth movement post-veneers, the lip flip could easily lead to the discomfort seen in Gomez’s interviews.
"She does look like she has new veneers, but I believe hers is caused by muscle weakness from anti-wrinkle injections, not her cosmetic dentistry," she added.
