An X user shared a post claiming that US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor disclosed receiving gifts that included tickets to the opening night of the musical Just Ask in Kansas City and $4,300 worth of concert tickets provided by Rimas Entertainment, the Puerto Rican record label that represents Bad Bunny.
The post stated, "In this year's SCOTUS financial disclosures, Justice Sonia Sotomayor reported gifts including tickets to the opening night of musical 'Just Ask' in KC ... but also $4,300 concert tickets provided by Rimas Entertainment, the Puerto Rican record label which represents Bad Bunny."
The user followed up with another post, writing, "In the footnotes of her disclosure Sotomayor says she attended a concert while on a private trip to Puerto Rico in August 2025 ... which would appear to line up with Bad Bunny's PR residency from July to September of that year."
The posts also included a screenshot containing the information and an alleged quote from Sotomayor. But are these claims true?
Fact Check: True, Sonia Sotomayor received $4K tickets
The claim is true. According to the annual financial disclosures released on Monday, June 29, US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor disclosed receiving more than $4,000 worth of concert tickets from Rimas Entertainment, Bad Bunny's record label.
The tickets, valued at $4,333, were provided for "a concert for me and guests while I was on a private trip to Puerto Rico in August 2025," Sotomayor wrote in the filing.
Rimas Entertainment, founded in Puerto Rico by Bad Bunny's longtime manager Noah Assad, represents several leading Latin music artists, including the Grammy-winning singer.
However, the disclosure does not specify whether the tickets were for a Bad Bunny concert or for another artist represented by the label.
Sotomayor is not the first Supreme Court justice to disclose receiving concert tickets as gifts. In 2024, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson reported receiving nearly
$4,000 worth of concert tickets from Grammy Award-winning singer Beyonce Knowles-Carter.
Eight of the Supreme Court's nine justices filed their annual financial disclosures. Justice Samuel Alito received an extension and did not submit his filing on Monday. Federal law requires the disclosures to list the justices' outside income, gifts, reimbursements, and investment holdings.
