WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk evidently have a strong bond. When Trump began his second run as the POTUS, he made sure Musk led the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Similarly, Trump has been an avid supporter of the SpaceX CEO as it was seen recently that the president purchased a Tesla car to show support to the multi-billionaire amid backlash and a massive fall in the EV giant's share prices.

Amid all this, an audio clip went viral on social media claiming to be Trump's voice where the POTUS compares Musk to 'Isaac Neutron' instead of Isaac Newton. But is the audio authentic? Let's find out below.

Claim: Viral audio claims Trump compared Musk to 'Isaac Neutron' instead of Isaac Newton

In March 2025, an online rumor claimed that Donald Trump compared Elon Musk to "a modern-day Isaac Neutron" instead of English physicist Isaac Newton.

Several social media posts shared audio that implied Donald Trump mispronounced the name of the renowned 17th-century English physicist.

Many TikTok users initially shared a clip and claimed the voice to be of Donald Trump's.

The voice in the clip says, "It's fantastic, fantastic. He was a smart guy. You know Tesla. First the lightbulb and now this. Seems like a modern-day Isaac Neutron."

The clip soon went viral on other platforms such as X, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram

False: No evidence to prove Trump made any such remark

The viral audio clip's claim is false, as no evidence supports Donald Trump making such a comment about Elon Musk, according to Snopes.

Moreover, footage from the Tesla showcase did not capture Trump making the alleged comment and no reliable news outlets have reported any such news.

Trump spoke out against calls for a boycott of Elon Musk's companies and said he would purchase a Tesla vehicle in what he calls a 'show of confidence and support' for Elon Musk. Furthermore, it seems like the audio originated on TikTok and is likely the product of artificial intelligence (AI), Snopes reported.

Meanwhile, the user behind the clip, @whmole, has since deleted their TikTok account and the original video.

However, an X user reposted the original clip which has the watermark of @whmole's handle. The post shows that the original video claimed it was "leaked Trump audio" from March 11, 2025, but failed to provide any proof.

Proof: Footage from Tesla showcase event at WH shows Trump did not make any such remark on Elon Musk

A YouTube channel associated with Fox News uploaded footage from the Tesla showcase event at the White House.

The video captured the entire period Trump and Musk were in front of reporters and did not record the president making any such comment.

Moreover, it did have one overlap in it when the audio appeared to repeat itself. The fact-checking outlet mentioned that it was likely a disruption in the live feed rather than a jump cut.

Furthermore, a Google News search for the terms "Trump Tesla Isaac Neutron" showed no results from authentic news outlets.
