WASHINGTON, DC: A viral photo meme circulating online claimed that Howard Stern has been dropped from his SiriusXM show following controversial remarks about President Donald Trump's voters. Howard Stern is the creator and host of 'The Howard Stern Show', a landmark American radio program known for its provocative humor, high-profile celebrity interviews, and boundary-pushing content. Over decades on air, the show has earned Stern a reputation as the “King of All Media.”

Here’s a fact-check of what’s really behind the viral claim.

Claim: Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show ended after Trump's remarks

Singer-songwriter Blondelady2024 shared a post alleging that Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show ended after his September 2024 comments in which he reportedly called Trump voters “stupid” and suggested they stop listening to his program.

The claim gained further traction through an X post by pro-Trump user @arva61138, which featured a meme asserting that Stern’s show had been canceled due to his past remarks about Trump supporters.

The post included an image of Howard Stern with overlaid text stating, “Last year, Howard Stern said he 'hated' anyone who voted for Trump, demanding they stop listening to his show.”

It further claimed, “Today, it’s been announced his show has been canceled!” At the time of writing, the post had garnered more than 1K comments and 8,500 likes.

The caption read “Never have never will,” reflecting the poster’s stated refusal to listen to Stern and celebrating the alleged cancellation amid strong engagement from MAGA audiences.

Some users responded with skepticism and humor. One wrote, “I can proudly say that I’ve never once listened to him!” while another countered, “He is a multimillionaire, just signed a 3-year deal. Awkward.”

Fact Check: False, Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show has not been canceled

The claim that Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show has been canceled is false.

The meme appeared to recycle older rumors from around mid-2025, when Stern’s previous contract was nearing its expiration. However, in December 2025, Stern announced on his show that he had signed a three-year contract extension with SiriusXM, securing The Howard Stern Show through at least 2028.

The updated agreement reportedly included a more flexible schedule with fewer live broadcast days, allowing more personal time. SiriusXM also confirmed the extension, and the program returned to live broadcasts in early January 2026. As of May 2026, the show continues to air, and no credible news reports indicate any cancellation.

The post misrepresented these resolved 2025 contract discussions as a current development, linking them to Stern’s past comments about Trump supporters for political framing. Many users responding to similar posts have pointed out the inaccuracy, noting that the show remains active under the renewed deal. It reflected a broader pattern of recycled misinformation spreading in partisan online spaces.

In fact, Stern himself addressed his schedule on air, hosting a show on Wednesday during a break from vacation and confirming his return on September 2. “We’ll be back on the air live. I’ve been refueling, so to speak,” Stern said.
