The rumor comes amid ongoing public interest in their relationship, which was reportedly engaged in January 2025, and frequent public discussion about their relationship. Let's fact check the claim.

Claim: Tom Holland and Zendaya split over his filming schedule

According to an X post shared by user @justmercy, Tom Holland and Zendaya have ended their relationship. The post claims that Holland’s demanding film schedule left him with little downtime due to continuous work on new projects.

"Sources say Tom’s demanding film schedule left him without any real downtime, as he has been constantly working on new projects."

It further alleged that Zendaya encouraged him to slow down and focus on his health and work–life balance, while Holland reportedly maintained that filmmaking is his passion and source of happiness. 

"Zendaya is said to have encouraged him to slow down and focus more on his health and balance, but Tom reportedly maintained that filmmaking is his passion and what makes him happiest."

The post also claimed that Zendaya gave him an ultimatum to reduce his workload or risk the relationship ending.

"According to the reports, Zendaya allegedly gave him an ultimatum to take a break and ease his workload or risk the relationship ending."

It additionally suggested that Holland was later seen appearing emotional on a balcony in Barcelona. "Not long after, Tom was seen in Barcelona on a balcony, appearing emotional about the situation."

Fact Check: No credible reports confirm Tom Holland and Zendaya breakup

The claim circulating in the X post about Tom Holland and Zendaya is false. There are no confirmed reports of a breakup as of April 2026, including around the time of the April 22 post. Holland has previously denied similar rumors, stating “absolutely not” in response to breakup speculation, and recent reports indicate the couple are still together.

They have been widely reported as engaged since late 2024 or early 2025, following a proposal around the 2024 holiday season, with Zendaya later seen wearing a prominent ring at the 2025 Golden Globes. 

Although there has been ongoing online speculation about a secret marriage, partly fueled by comments from stylist Law Roach and Zendaya’s playful remarks, neither has confirmed any such claims, and they generally keep their personal life private.

The images shared in the post are also misrepresented. The photo of Holland on a balcony is actually from the March 2026 Paris premiere of Zendaya’s film 'The Drama', where he was seen supporting her from a hotel balcony during the event. It does not show him in Barcelona or in emotional distress following a breakup.

Claims about an “ultimatum” related to work schedules are also unverified. While both actors have busy careers, there is no credible reporting of a breakup linked to work–life balance issues.
