GLENDALE, ARIZONA: After conservative activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in September 2025, social media lit up with claims that his wife, Erika Kirk, is pregnant with their third child.

The couple married in Arizona in 2021 and have a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son together.

But is there any truth to this claim? Where did it originate, and has Erika addressed it publicly? Here's what we know.

Where does the claim about Erika Kirk's pregnancy stem from?

The claim about Erika Kirk’s pregnancy began with a Facebook post shared on September 27, 2025. The post quoted Erika as saying, “This child is a gift — a piece of Charlie I still carry.” It claimed she made the announcement just 30 minutes earlier, surprising many with news that was both emotional and uplifting.

According to the post, Erika, still grieving the loss of her husband Charlie, revealed she was expecting their third child, a baby she described as part of the Turning Point USA founder's legacy.

The claim quickly spread across Facebook and YouTube. Many posts included links in the comments that led to clickbait-style articles filled with ads, all claiming Erika was pregnant. Some users even suggested that Erika had originally planned to reveal the pregnancy on September 16, 2025.

That theory likely originated from a social media post she shared on September 2, which included a mysterious message: “...walk the countdown with us. 9.16.2025.” In a video attached to the post, Erika is heard saying, “What if childhood could hold eternity?” — a line that added to the speculation.

Fact Check: Erika Kirk is not pregnant

The rumors about Erika Kirk’s pregnancy are false. Unknown sources created these unverified claims to generate advertising revenue for linked external websites.

One of these websites displayed a ‘USA News’ logo, a source known for publishing false stories about MSNBC hosts. Additionally, the website used images created with artificial intelligence software to support the false story about Erika. The posts and articles also contained AI-generated text.

Moreover, the countdown video did not relate to a pregnancy, and Erika had not made any such announcement on Instagram.

Has Erika Kirk talked about her pregnancy publicly?

As of this writing, no credible evidence supports the claim that Erika Kirk is expecting a third child with her late husband, Charlie Kirk. She has not confirmed a pregnancy on social media or in any public statements following Charlie’s death.

A review of Erika’s full speech at her husband’s memorial service, held on September 21, 2025, in Arizona, revealed no mention of a pregnancy, contrary to the claims circulating on social media.

In a separate video message posted to Instagram a few days after Charlie's death, Erika addressed the public while standing behind a lectern displaying a photo of her husband and a message that read: “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior.”

At no point in the video did she mention expecting another child. However, she did speak lovingly about their family and referenced their two young children multiple times. “But most of all, Charlie loved his children. And he loved me with all of his heart. And I knew that. Every day, I knew that,” she said, describing Charlie as a “perfect” father and husband.

In a separate Instagram post, Erika paid tribute to Charlie with a photo of them and their two children. That post, like the others, did not contain any mention of a pregnancy.
