A short video shared on X by user @osint613, also known as Open Source Intel, shows an IRGC spokesperson seemingly mocking Donald Trump.

In the 10-second clip, which looks like it was taken from a press conference, the spokesperson says in English, “Hey Trump, you are fired! You are familiar with this sentence. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

The video comes amid rising tensions between the US and Iran, including reported American strikes on Iranian targets. Within hours of being posted, it racked up over 348,000 views and hundreds of replies, with many Western users sharing memes and jokes about the clip.

Some viewers questioned its authenticity: one asked, “Is this real?” Another wondered, “What is the spokesperson’s name?” and one suggested, “This must be AI. Too good to be true.” Others just found it funny, with one commenter joking, “This is hilarious, and Trump would find it hilarious too.”

Although the IRGC spokesperson video caused skepticism on social media, research shows it is real and comes from an official statement. The spokesperson is Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari of Iran’s Khatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters, the unified command of the Iranian Armed Forces closely linked to the IRGC. During a televised briefing on March 22, 2026, he directly addressed Trump in English.

“Hey Trump! You are fired! You are familiar with this sentence. Thank you for your attention to this matter. The Central Headquarters of Khatam-al Anbiya.”

The statement was shown on Iranian state media and was quickly shared by multiple OSINT and military-focused accounts. No credible sources have labeled it fake or AI-generated; it is accepted as genuine.

The delivery sparked online ridicule in English-speaking communities due to its awkward phrasing and bravado. Open Source Intel reposted the clip, writing: “In case you missed it, the Islamic regime military spokesperson has ‘fired’ President Trump tonight.” The video came from the verified X account with 1.2 million followers, whose bio reads: “Monitoring Real-Time News & Open Source Intelligence.”
