Fans ‘glad’ Jelly Roll and wife Bunnie XO are safe after private jet makes emergency landing
AUSTIN, TEXAS: Jelly Roll, his wife Bunnie XO, and their entire entourage faced a scary situation as their private jet “stopped mid air” as they were traveling to Texas.
Bunnie XO, real name Alyssa DeFord, recently shared the ordeal on her TikTok account.
‘The Dumb Blonde’ podcast host, 44, revealed that they faced the issue en route to Austin, Texas to attend the 2024 CMT Music Awards.
The 39-year-old ‘Save Me’ singer and his wife gave a detailed update about their air-borne ordeal and shared that their private jet had to make an emergency landing.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO give details about emergency landing
Jelly Roll, born Jason Bradley DeFord, and his wife took to TikTok to speak in detail about the ordeal they faced.
On Thursday, April 4, Bunnie shared a video of their traveling party and wrote on a TikTok video, "Our plane we were on just stopped mid air," before adding, "& turned around for an emergency landing."
She also shared footage of the pilot speaking to the group who were seen sitting inside the cabin of the aircraft.
In another footage, the ‘Son of a Sinner’ singer, who is going to appear on 'American Idol' soon, was seen walking around in a waiting room, per E! News.
He was heard saying, "The plane just got turned around," before explaining, "They turned the plane around. They said it's an issue with the computer."
"And they want us to get back on it,” responded Bunnie to which Jelly Roll added, "At least it wasn't the brakes."
Sharing another video of herself sitting in the aircraft cabin along with the other group members, she wrote on top of the video, "When the private jet you're in just stopped mid-air, turned around & said we had to emergency land because of a malfunction.”
She also added in comments, "We landed but might have to get back on the same plane."
In the comment section, she also assured a fan that they were alright, saying, "We're good baby but that was scary."
Despite the challenges, Jelly Roll and his entire entourage reached Austin, Texas, safely, where the CMT Awards is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 7.
The ‘Halfway to Hell’ singer is nominated in four categories at the 2024 CMT Awards, including Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year for ‘Need a Favor’.

Social media users were relieved by the news that Jelly Roll and his wife made a safe landing later. However, there were a few trolls who made some snide comments about the singer's weight.
Nevertheless, the fans were happy that the 39-year-old singer and others were safe.
