Footage shows Mitch McConnell loaded onto stretcher from day of emergency call
WASHINGTON, DC: Newly released video is shedding fresh light on Senator Mitch McConnell's hospitalization, nearly a month after emergency responders were called to his Washington home.
The footage, obtained by CNN from one of McConnell's neighbors and released on Friday, July 10, appears to show a person being wheeled on a stretcher toward an ambulance on June 14, the same day the longtime Kentucky senator was rushed to the hospital.
While the individual's face is not visible in the video, the neighbor said another eyewitness identified the person as McConnell.

New footage emerges from day Mitch McConnell was hospitalized
The video was reviewed by both CNN and WHAS11 News. It shows emergency responders moving a person on a stretcher toward a waiting ambulance outside McConnell's residence.
According to CNN, the neighbor who recorded the footage did not personally see the person's face. However, the neighbor said another witness claimed to have recognized McConnell.
"One of my neighbors is like, 'Oh yeah, it's Mitch, I saw his face,'" the neighbor told CNN.
The eyewitness also reportedly said McConnell was not wearing an oxygen mask while being transported.
The release of the footage marks the first visual glimpse connected to the senator's hospitalization and comes as public curiosity about his condition continues to grow.
911 audio revealed alarming details from emergency call
The newly surfaced video follows reports about the emergency response on June 14.
According to 911 audio obtained by independent journalist Desiree Townsend, emergency personnel were dispatched after reports of an "unconscious" person at McConnell's home.

A paramedic can also be heard stating, "CPR in progress."
Those details sparked widespread concern about the senator's condition, particularly as official information remained limited in the days and weeks that followed.
Despite growing questions, McConnell's office has released only a handful of updates regarding his health.
Pressure grows for more transparency on senator's condition
Since the hospitalization, McConnell's team has repeatedly said that he is receiving treatment and recovering, but has provided few specifics.
The lack of detailed information has fueled speculation online, with many observers questioning the severity of his condition.
Earlier this week, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear publicly called for more transparency regarding the senator's health.
Meanwhile, McConnell's office has continued to reassure supporters that he is making progress.
"Senator McConnell appreciates the outpouring of support he's receiving while he continues his recovery in the hospital," a spokesperson said in the latest statement.
"The Senator continues to improve, and is working closely with his staff on Kentucky and Senate matters while the Senate is out of session."
