In a video shared on Instagram, Bass said she had not heard from Williams in years until last week.

"My phone rang and it was Wendy. I cried, she cried. She sounds fantastic," said Bass while walking her dog.

However, she admitted that she has been learning more about Williams’ legal situation since their conversation.

Williams has faced serious health challenges in recent years, including Graves’ disease. She took a hiatus from her show in 2020 and it was officially canceled in February 2022.
Later that year, Wells Fargo froze her accounts and a court placed her under guardianship, citing concerns about financial exploitation and undue influence. She was also moved into an assisted living facility, as per Page Six.
In February 2024, Williams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. However, she later insisted in an interview with 'The Breakfast Club' that she is not "cognitively impaired" and claimed she feels like a prisoner due to her legal restrictions.
