NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Fox Sports analyst Erin Andrews was trolled for her interview of Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts after he and his team won Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, February 9, reported Irish Star.

Hurts was the star of the show at the Caesars Superdome arena, where the Eagles dominated 40-22 over the Chiefs. The 26-year-old accomplished 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, as well as rushed 11 times for 72 yards and another score.

Erin Andrews interacted with Jalen Hurts on the field post the game after giving him some time to soak in the moment of celebration. She reportedly began the interview by tapping the player thrice on the chest.

Once they got into the flow of the conversation amid the surrounding celebration, Andrews asked, "You said after Super Bowl 57, you sat in the locker room and you thought to yourself, I'll be back. You got back, and now you're a champion. How does that feel?”

“God is good. He's greater than all the highs and the lows,” Hurts replied. "Personally, myself, I've just been able to use every experience and learn from it."

"The good, the bad, all of it," he continued. "Using it as fuel to pursue my own greatness. I couldn't do any of these things without the guys around me. We got a special group this year, we were able to learn from the past, get some nice new pieces, and get over that hump," he added.

Hurts remained humble even after his remarkable performance and hailed his team's defense for their support.

“I think, number one, defense wins championships. Defense wins championships,” he stated. “We saw how they played today. We saw the difference they made in the game. They gave us opportunities, gave us short fields, and we were able to do what we do.”

The analyst concluded the interview by bringing up Hurts' old screensaver on his phone, a picture of him walking off the field after losing the Super Bowl in 2023.

“Look at the confetti. That was the picture you had on your screensaver, was the confetti from two years ago. How does that look?” she asked, leading Hurts to reply, "I'm still processing it. But I can't wait to enjoy this with my family and soak it in.”

Internet trolls Erin Andrews over the interview

Netizens were not pleased with Andrews' "awkward" interview with Hurts on the Super Bowl field.

"That was an awkward interview between Erin Andrews and Jalen Hurts," wrote a social media user.

"Erin Andrews: No one saw this coming. Us: Yes tf we did. What a rude a** comment to say to Jalen Hurts," shared another.

"Erin Andrews desperately trying to get Hurts to show an ounce of emotion was hilarious," quipped a third.

"It seems Erin Andrews prepared for a Mahomes interview cos the questions she’s asking Hurts are super flat," stated a fourth.

"'Look at the confetti. Look at the confetti.' Erin Andrews, on a bizarre mission to confound Jalen Hurts," jibed a fifth.

"The most awkward part was before the interview and you could see her patting Jalen on the stomach. That looked a bit too personal," noted yet another.
