Fox News hosts gush over Michelle Obama's DNC speech
Michelle Obama's speech was so impactful that it even led her husband, former President Barack Obama, to humorously acknowledge, "I am the only person stupid enough to speak after Michelle Obama," as per The Independent.
On the topic, Fox News host Bret Baier remarked, "Barack Obama, essentially showing this crowd why he is still such a star inside the Democratic Party, but perhaps, perhaps overshadowed by his wife, the former First Lady Michelle Obama, who had an amazing speech that got this crowd on their feet."
Brit Hume, the chief political analyst for Fox News, also praised the former first lady, stating, "I think the speech of the night was Michelle Obama. She is an extraordinarily impressive woman…You can see why members of the Democratic party are always hoping she’ll step in and run for president."
The 81-year-old, who worked at ABC News for more than two decades, expressed curiosity over why someone with Michelle’s credentials, including her education and background, might still need to seek hope, but admitted her performance was "just terrific."
Another Fox News contributor, former Congressman Harold Ford Jr, also lauded Michelle's speech, calling it "the best" of the evening.

Meanwhile, Eric Trump took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his dissent, writing, "This is unwatchable."
His father, former President Trump, has yet to comment on the Obamas' speeches.
Prior to their addresses, the Republican nominee expressed, "I like him. I think he’s a nice gentleman." He criticized some of former President Obama's trade policies but added, "But I happen to like him. I respect him and I respect his wife."
During her speech, Michelle criticized Trump’s health care policies, restrictions on reproductive freedoms, and propensity for falsehoods.
She also confronted his divisive rhetoric, stating, "For years, Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us," and questioned, "Who’s going to tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those 'Black jobs'?"
