LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Sean Hannity has responded to CNN's Jake Tapper after Tapper labeled him an "unofficial Trump adviser" in light of Hannity's recent criticism of President Joe Biden's State of the Union address.

Hannity, a vocal conservative commentator, had taken issue with President Biden's speech, characterizing him as "Jacked-Up Joe" and expressing concerns about cognitive decline. In response, Tapper played a clip on his CNN show, referring to Hannity as an "unofficial Trump adviser" and sarcastically commenting on the term "charitable" used by Hannity.

Sean Hannity challenges Jake Tapper's standing

During Monday's episode of Hannity, the Fox News host addressed Tapper's remarks by questioning the CNN host's viewership numbers. Hannity stated, "I was supposed to have a message for Fake Jake Tapper. But after my team did a little investigating, this guy barely gets over 500,000 viewers a day or night."

He suggested that Tapper would need a higher viewership to warrant a response, adding, "I'd say if you want me to respond, Fake Jake, you need at least a million, million and a half viewers before you get my attention."

Hannity then took aim at Tapper's journalistic role, asserting, "Jake, you’re a liberal talk show host pretending to be a journalist. That’s why the name Fake Jake is perfect for you."
