Fox's Brian Kilmeade falsely claims John Cusack and Jasmine Crockett asked people to 'blow up Teslas'

WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Brian Kilmeade falsely claimed that two prominent critics of Elon Musk, John Cusack and Rep Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), encouraged vandals to "blow up Teslas," while calling for their indictment during the Friday, March 21, episode ‘Fox & Friends’.
The Texan Democrat has faced backlash for comments she made about the tech billionaire's electric vehicle company during a "#TeslaTakedown" livestream earlier this week, as reported by Mediaite.
Brian Kilmeade claims Jasmine Crockett and John Cusack called on people to 'blow up Teslas'
Amid the ongoing protests against Tesla, which followed DOGE’s multiple cost-cutting policies, "#TeslaTakedown" called for nonviolent protests against the billionaire CEO and his company.
Musk’s actions as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chair incited a nationwide protest against the EV company, with some protesters setting fire to Tesla vehicles.

However, while speaking on the livestream, Crockett was clear about her stance on conducting a peaceful protest.
Speaking to co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt and Lawrence Jones on Friday, Kilmeade falsely accused the Democratic representative along with the 58-year-old ‘2012’ actor for "calling on March 29 to be the day to blow up Teslas."
"So that was where people on the left, talking about the threat of domestic terrorism, White nationalism, everything from January 6," started Kilmeade in his fiery speech.

He continued to tell his colleagues, "But what about this? You’re driving a Tesla car and someone smashes your window, you’re working in a dealership, they smash the whole fleet, they put them on fire, you’re working by charging your car, they’re trying to rip the hoses off the charging stations."
"Finally, they got three people, three defendants will face full force of the law for using Malatov cocktails to fire up Tesla cars and those charging stations," said the Fox News host, before adding, "These guys, five to 10 years in prison, they should be looking at, and they should be giving up who organized and who’s paying them."

Kilmeade then directed his anger toward Cusack and Crockett, saying, "And this guy, John Cusack, who’s an actor with marginal success, is actually calling on March 29th to be the day to blow up Teslas! And Crockett too! She– he should be indicted!"
Jasmine Crockett and John Cusack's criticism of Elon Musk
Appearing on the "#TeslaTakedown" livestream, Jasmine Crockett said that she "was truly here for very selfish reasons," per The Independent.
"On March 29, it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down – yes!" said the Democrat, and clarified that she felt it was important "to stand for freedom in this country and for the constitution."

"The best way to show that we are American is by using our constitutional rights and deciding we are going to engage in protests," Crockett further explained.
Cusack too criticized the SpaceX owner for his involvement in the government and accused him of "literally killing people." Nevertheless, he has also not asked people to "blow up Teslas" on March 29.
