WASHINGTON, DC: Actor John Cusack has often made headlines for his outspoken opinions. This time he has taken aim at Elon Musk for taking his 4-year-old son X Æ A-Xii (commonly referred to as Lil X) to the recent event at the White House where Donald Trump bought a Tesla.
Cusack took to social media to blast Musk for what he perceived as a calculated use of Lil X to garner "sympathy".

John Cusack hits out at Elon Musk for taking son Lil X to Donald Trump's Tesla event
Elon Musk was seen with his son Lil X on March 11, Tuesday, at the White House during what appeared to be an informal advertisement for Tesla vehicles.
Standing alongside Trump, Musk watched as the president read from a script, promoting the electric car company. The president also bought a red Tesla Model S.
"That's beautiful," he said, adding, "I'll write a check for the car."
Cusack, known for his strong political opinions, did not hold back in his reaction.
Posting on X, the 'Say Anything' star called Musk "a ghoul" and went a step further, writing: "I love that the f**king ghoul keeps using his kid as a sympathy prop, as he starves other people’s kids."

Cusack’s remark appears to reference broader criticisms of Musk, including his controversial business practices and alleged lack of concern for workers' rights and social welfare, as per The Irish Star.
The actor has long been a vocal critic of both Trump and the billionaire class, frequently using his platform to call out what he sees as hypocrisy among the ultra-wealthy.
Grimes criticizes Elon Musk for taking son Lil X to White House without her knowledge
Elon Musk's recent public appearance with his Lil X is nothing new.
Notably, during an Oval Office event in February where Trump signed an executive order expanding the powers of Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk brought Lil X along.

The child was observed mimicking his father, whispering to Trump, and engaging in typical childlike behavior, such as picking his nose.
As per Daily Mail, singer Grimes, Musk's former partner and mother of Lil X, publicly expressed her disapproval upon learning of her son's participation in the event.
He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh

She stated on social media, "He should not be in public like this."
"I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh," she added, indicating her concerns about her child getting exposed to such high-profile events without her prior knowledge.
Musk's move has raised concerns, with critics questioning whether it unnecessarily exposes the child to potential danger, especially considering the security risks highlighted by the 2024 assassination attempts on Trump.
In another incident of Musk's parenting misstep, a resurfaced video showed him seemingly forgetting Lil X, during what appeared to be Trump’s Make America Great Again rally in Washington, DC, in January.

Musk appeared to leave without noticing his son, sparking backlash online as people slammed his apparent carelessness.
Elon Musk slammed for using Lil X as a 'human shield'
Elon Musk's parenting decisions faced renewed criticism as social media users echoed John Cusack's concerns, speculating that he may be using his child as a "human shield" to safeguard himself from potential threats.
A user noted, "I think he's using the kid more as a human shield. He's paranoid about getting assassinated."

Another added, "It's worse than that. He uses him as a human shield. I keep trying to rally the babies mammas into suing for full custody for all his kids."

One comment read, "There is a perversion in the way he exploits his child in an attempt humanize himself. Like everything he does he misses the mark and amplifies his lack of judgment and fundamental character."
