Fox's Sean Hannity blasts Left, says 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' making them anti-US in Iran war
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sean Hannity launched a sweeping attack against liberals and the media, arguing that their opposition to President Donald Trump has reached such an extreme that critics are effectively cheering for the United States to lose in the ongoing Iran conflict.
Speaking during his show on Thursday, March 19, Hannity highlighted what he called a 'subplot' to the war, one he said reflects deep-rooted hostility toward Trump rather than objective analysis of the situation.

Sean Hannity says 'liberals want US to lose'
Hannity accused Democrats and sections of the media of siding, at least rhetorically, with adversaries of the US.
“Trump derangement syndrome is so bad on the left that the legacy media mob, Democrats, other so-called liberals, they are rooting for America to lose,” the Fox News host said.
He went further, contrasting that alleged stance with the nature of the Iranian regime, saying “These lunatics are now rooting for a regime in Iran that m*rders protesters, throws gay people off of tall buildings, and t*rtures women to death if their hair is not completely covered in public.”
Framing recent military developments as overwhelmingly successful, Hannity claimed US and allied strikes had already devastated Iran’s capabilities.
“It took just two weeks to completely destroy Iran's Navy, Air Force, air defenses, and degrade its missiles and drones by 90%”
Sean Hannity tears into legacy media
From there, he pivoted to what he described as media distortion of those outcomes. Hannity mocked headlines from major outlets, arguing they downplayed US military gains.
Referencing coverage from ABC News, he quoted “Even as Iran has been pummeled, Tehran continues to demonstrate resolve both in adapting and expanding its military tactics.”
He responded sarcastically saying “Could they tell us who might be in charge of that?”
He also took aim at Time magazine, reading “Trump may radicalize regime rather than topple it.” Dismissing that claim, Hannity shot back saying “According to the experts, most of the radicals are now dead.”
Hannity also ridiculed CNN headline that read “Seven reasons why Trump hasn't won the Iran war”. He mocked CNN saying “the war barely started. And I don't even know if you'll call it a war, but a massacre.”
Hannity cited remarks from Democrat and former Clinton official Jamie Metzl, highlighting concerns about ideological shifts on the far left.
I am a Democrat. I served in the Clinton administration. I did not vote for Donald Trump and am highly unlikely to support him or his acolytes in the future. I also have serious disagreements with many of the Trump administration’s domestic and foreign policies.

But it is…
Metzl's post on his social media read: “It is profoundly disturbing that a growing segment of the far left appears to be almost rooting for various violent groups and the Iranian regime.”
“This seems to reflect a corrosive strain of anti-Americanism that risks blinding us to the moral realities of our world,” Metzl's post read.
