Wendy’s redhead look-alike contest turns heads in NYC on World Redhead Day

Wendy’s celebrated World Redhead Day in New York City by hosting a fun look-alike contest inspired by its famous mascot. Fans gathered at Seaport Square dressed in red wigs, freckles and signature blue dresses.

The competition also tested contestants’ creativity online. Participants had to make mock social media posts in Wendy’s bold and playful internet style for National Hamburger Day.

One of the final rounds featured homemade Wendy’s commercials performed live in front of judges and the crowd. The event included photo booths, giveaways and brand-themed activities.

Contestants competed to become the ultimate “Wendy” through multiple themed rounds. Participants recreated the fast-food chain’s iconic logo look in real life.

The winner received free Dave’s Single burgers for a year after standing out as the best version of Wendy’s famous redheaded mascot. The event quickly gained attention online for its quirky and lighthearted vibe.
