LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gayle King appeared to add fuel to the fire surrounding 'It Ends With Us' co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's ongoing legal feud when she awkwardly asked their colleague Brandon Sklenar which side he was on during his appearance on 'CBS Mornings' on Monday, February 17.

King put Sklenar, who played Lively’s other on-screen lover, Atlas Corrigan, in the movie, in the hot seat when she directly questioned him: "Are you Team Blake or Team Justin?"

Brandon Sklenar redirects the conversation, emphasizes the importance of 'It Ends With Us'

Brandon Sklenar, maintaining his professionalism, quickly responded, "I’m Team 'It Ends With Us.'" However, King wasn’t ready to drop the topic and continued to probe, asking how he was handling the ongoing lawsuits between Lively and Baldoni, who starred as Lily Bloom and Ryle Kincaid in the film, as per the New York Post.

The 34-year-old skillfully redirected the conversation, telling King, "I just want people to remember why we made the movie in the first place and what it stands for, and just keeping the focus on that."

The actor went on to share the personal significance of the film, which addresses domestic violence.

"I have someone very close to me who’s gone through what [Lively’s character Lily is] going through for a long time and I’ve been on the front lines helping her navigate that space, so that movie meant a lot to me and it means a lot to her," Sklenar stated.

"It was one of the reasons that me doing that movie gave her the strength to change her life. It’s unfortunate that things get taken away from what the ethos of that thing is and it gets convoluted," he stressed.

The legal battle between the co-stars began last year when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, who also directed the film, accusing him of harassment and fostering a toxic work environment. She also accused him of orchestrating a public smear campaign against her.

Baldoni, denying the allegations, countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for $400 million, alleging defamation, civil extortion, and invasion of privacy.

Sklenar, their 'It Ends With Us' co-star Jenny Slate, and the book's author Colleen Hoover all publicly supported Lively following her initial claims.
