George Clooney praises wife Amal as he considers himself just 'a plus-one', Internet calls them 'intelligent couple'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: George Clooney has once again shown his love for his wife, Amal Clooney.

The actor came on the British breakfast television program ‘Lorraine’ on Tuesday, January 9, where he could not stop talking about the Lebanese-British barrister, Daily Mail reported.

When the show’s host Lorraine Kelly asked George if he was with Amal during The Fashion Awards by Pandora, he answered: “'Do I look like I was at a fashion award?”

The ‘Ticket to Paradise’ star also mentioned, “If I'm in a picture with my wife, they do cut me out. No, I wasn't there, I sadly missed the fashion awards, which really cuts me there [points to his heart].”

Kelly went on to tease Geroge by questioning him, “Have you got used to being this elbow in the picture?”

George disclosed, “They always say 'George was nice enough to hold an umbrella for his gorgeous wife.’ She is a force of nature and so homely, but we do what we can, we survive.”

This came after the 62-year-old star while attending the premiere of his new release ‘The Boys in the Boat’ reportedly shared, “She [Amal] cleans up. I'm always embarrassed because I'm wearing something that I've worn, like, 1,000 times.”

The filmmaker added, “My entire career has been reduced to a plus-one now. I did one of those Women in Film things a couple of years ago, and I had to introduce myself as Amal Clooney's husband because, honestly, I was dead otherwise.”

Had he met her 20 years earlier than he did, she’d be just another notch.”
