LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The health condition of Bruce Willis, who is battling frontotemporal dementiais, is “deteriorating” and the sources close to the ‘Die Hard’ actor say his family is bracing themselves up for the worst.

The 69-year-old actor recently celebrated his birthday on March 19, and all the women of the Willis-Moore family shared heartfelt tributes for the embattled star on social media.

However, sources recently shared with InTouch per Yahoo! that the family fears this birthday could be the ‘Armageddon’ star’s last one.

Family members being strong for Bruce Willis

Noting that the star’s health is changing rapidly in recent months, the source added, “Bruce is deteriorating.”

They continued, “Everyone is trying to keep in good spirits and be positive, but it’s just getting harder and harder. It’s heartbreaking.”

They added that since the ‘Red’ actor is losing weight and “doesn’t express hunger much,” his family is “extremely anxious” regarding his condition reaching the final stages.

The source shared with the outlet, “Demi [Moore], Emma [Heming] and the girls are being as strong as they can for Bruce.”

Moore was previously married to Willis for 13 years until their divorce in 2000. The former couple welcomed three daughters together - Rumer Willis, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis.

The ‘Pulp Fiction’ star married Emma Heming in 2009 and the couple share two girls together - Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 9.

All the women in the family, though always close, have become closer following the star’s aphasia and subsequently dementia diagnosis.

Referring to their bond, the insider added, “They were all close to begin with, but now they’re closer than ever. They won’t let Bruce down.”

The ‘The Sixth Sense’ star was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022, where the patient slowly loses the ability to communicate. In 2023, the family revealed he was further diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
