Gigi and Bella Hadid donate $1M to support relief efforts in Palestine
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid, daughters of Palestinian property tycoon Mohamed Anwar Hadid, have pledged $1 million to aid Palestinian relief efforts, as reported by the BBC.
The entire amount will be evenly distributed among four organizations dedicated to supporting children and families: HEAL Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), World Central Kitchen (WCK), and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
Following the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas, both groups are actively promoting humanitarian aid such as food and medical assistance, supporting displaced families, and providing psychiatric treatment. The region has seen heightened tensions since the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7th.

The donation was made to, "HEAL", an organization where the acronym stands for health, education, aid, and leadership, symbolizing the core pillars of its programs. HEAL is a nonpolitical, nonprofit humanitarian group dedicated to offering "every young Palestinian in Gaza a chance for a brighter future."
Since its establishment in 1991, PCRF has provided free treatment to thousands of sick and injured children. Currently, the organization is mobilizing funds through its "Gaza Relief and Recovery" campaign.
These funds are aimed at providing essential support such as food, medical care, clean water, and other necessities to families impacted by the violence, focusing on delivering immediate relief.
One of PCRF's initiatives includes establishing a pediatric cardiology department in Ramallah, along with a PICU and two pediatric cancer departments elsewhere in Palestine.
Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen is a proactive organization that helps communities affected by natural disasters, crises like war, wars, and other tragedies by providing chef-prepared meals. Over 400 million meals have been given, according to the organization.
UNRWA USA National Committee is an independent nonprofit that supports humanitarian assistance for Palestine refugees.
The donation was announced shortly after Bella Hadid, who had recently visited Cannes, made a statement on Instagram. In her post, she explained the significance of the Keffiyeh dress she was wearing.
