LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA:Gisele Bundchen's illustrious modeling career almost cost her life once. While playing 'True Confessions' on an episode of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on Thursday, March 21, the supermodel disclosed that she put her body on the line to film a Lanvin commercial in the late ‘90s.

As a part of the talk show game, the mother-of-two shared an insight about the incident which took place sometime between 1997 and 1998 while host Jimmy Fallon and fellow guest Wayne Brady had to guess if it was true.

Gisele Bundchen was doing a photo shoot on a fake iceberg in Iceland

“I did a photo shoot on a fake iceberg in Iceland and I almost fell off into the ocean,” Bundchen said, adding that she was surrounded by real icebergs during the shoot filmed to promote the brand's Oxygene fragrance.

She further elaborated noting that she “would’ve been dead in seconds because you know what happens inside of the freezing water of the icebergs? [In] seconds you’re dead — dead!”

After confirming that the near-fatal accident did, in fact, happen, Bundchen remembered that she elegantly posed in a slip dress while the crew members were on a boat dressed in life vests and puffer jackets. “Wait, you almost died?” asked Fallon, who doubted her credibility during the round.

“I wanted to feel better, I didn’t know what to do, so I found this amazing naturopath and he said to me, ‘Gisele, we have to change your diet.’ And I was like, ‘Diet, what does that have to do with panic attacks?’ And he’s like, ‘No, it has everything to do with it,” she said.

She saw improvements after she made certain lifestyle changes. "After having a year and a half of what I would say [was] one of the worst times in my life, everything changed. I became a different person. I started practicing meditation. I started practicing yoga. I started practicing breath work," she shared.

Gisele Bundchen opens up on personal transformation after her mother's death

MEAWW previously reported that Gisele Bundchen has opened up on her personal transformation after her mother's death. The Brazilian fashion model shared a quote from Ecuadorian author Yung Pueblo in an Instagram post on February 9, after losing her mother Vania Nonnenmacher last month.

“Personal transformation is not easy," said Bundchen, according to People. "Healing yourself takes time," she added.

"Letting go can sometimes feel overwhelming. Building new habits can seem like an uphill battle. Even with all of these challenges inner-work is worth it. This active form of self-love can radically change your life," she concluded her post with Pueblo's name, before reiterating the quote in Portuguese.
