NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'GMA' co-host Robin Roberts promoted a major project during her time at the Sundance Film Festival where she went with her wife Amber Laign.

Meanwhile, the co-host has been temporarily replaced at 'Good Morning America' amidst her absence, according to The US Sun.

Taking to social media, the 63-year-old television personality shared a video clip from a stage interview at Sundance. She was dressed in black jeans and a tan turtleneck sweater, and sat in front of a screen that had the words, "THE GREAT WAR: From Executive Producer Robin Roberts" on it.

Roberts was seen talking to the moderator, saying, "...within the Black community about that, and in the documentary," before making a side note to the audience, "Airing February 4, on History Channel," who applauded.

"Did you get that, Boo?" Roberts asked Laign, 49, to which she replied, "I did," giggling.

In the caption of the post, Roberts detailed the announcement, writing, "We (Sweet Amber was my videographer 🫢)had a great time at Sundance, thanks to the @aetv family. @rocknrobintv once again joining forces with @history for documentary the Harlem Hellfighters, a renowned military unit in WWI."

"The Hellfighters will also be part of upcoming mega-doc The Great War. A powerful portrait of the people behind the world altering conflict," she added.

The new faces on 'Good Morning America'

Roberts has been absent from her hosting duties on the morning talk show since January 19, along with her co-host Michael Strahan. Co-host George Stephanopoulos, 62, appeared on the show that day alongside Eva Pilgrim, 41, and Gio Benitez, 38, who replaced Roberts and Strahan respectively at the news desk.

The missing regular co-hosts were not mentioned on air. While Roberts was off to Utah, Strahan was reportedly in the Bahamas to celebrate the birthday of his mother, according to The Sun.

However, the publication further mentions Strahan's return to the United States, as he made his appearance at 'Fox NFL Sunday' that week, and where he works as an analyst.

Strahan has been missing from earlier episodes of 'GMA' this year as well, since his daughter Isabella, 19, appeared on the show to reveal being diagnosed with brain cancer in an interview with Roberts.
