George Stephanopoulos reveals daughter's reaction to his book in candid conversation with Seth Meyers
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ star George Stephanopoulos recently appeared on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ to promote his new upcoming book, ‘The Situation Room.’
During the conversation between the two hosts, George revealed that his daughter, Eliott, listens to his audiobook when she has trouble falling asleep.
George admitted that even though it was meant to be a “sweet” gesture from his daughter, it turned out to be a “biggest burn.”
‘The Situation Room: The Inside Story of Presidents in Crisis’ explores the power, secrecy, and mystery that is the White House Situation Room, the epicenter of crisis management for presidents for more than six decades as per its author.

George and Seth discussed some of the events that happen in his new book, ‘The Situation Room.’
The ‘GMA’ star admitted that it was a bit like the things "happened to another person" for his children, as many of the things he wrote about took place so long ago.
Speaking of his eldest daughter Elliott, George admitted she said something "kind of sweet" about the book.
“Sometimes when I have a little trouble falling asleep, I will listen to your book,” George said of Elliott.
He couldn't stop laughing about it, and neither could Seth. He added, "You know what's really sweet about that is that I don't think she intended it to be the biggest burn."
"No, she meant it to be sweet, like 'I like hearing your voice', but it didn't quite come out that way," Seth joked. Both men laughed at the realization.
"And she's like now all my friends listen to you to fall asleep," Seth snarked, "They think you have a sleep podcast!”
George couldn't stop laughing but the pair moved on to discuss the meat of the book.

George Stephanopoulos announces his appearance away from ‘GMA’ on Instagram
The 62-year-old morning show star was excited at the prospect of appearing on the late-night talk show with Seth Meyers.
So much so that he announced his appearance on Instagram to his followers, telling them to tune in and catch him in conversation about his new book, away from the ‘GMA’ desk.
He shared two snaps from the late-night talk show and captioned it, “Always a great time with @sethmeyers…thank you for having me @latenightseth! Tune-in tonight. #TheSituationRoom is available for pre-order now. Link in bio.”
While on the show, George also spoke about his 22nd wedding anniversary to his wife, Ali Wentworth, and enduring the most painful experience of his daughters going away to college.
