WASHINGTON, DC: A House committee chaired by Republicans published a report on Monday, March 11, refuting statements made by former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson, according to which the former president tried to take control of a Secret Service SUV on January 6, 2021, as per the NY Post

Members of the Select Committee to investigate the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol allegedly 'were laser-focused on their effort to promote their pre-determined narrative', according to the 81-page report of the House Administration Subcommittee on oversight.

The report further alleges that the Jan 6 committee selectively considered material, including neglecting to make available complete transcripts from important witnesses that contradict Hutchinson's 'sensational' assertions.

The undisclosed testimony of four White House staffers who attended Trump's Jan 6, 2021, speech at the Ellipse 'directly contradicts claims made by Cassidy Hutchinson' and the House panel looking into the disturbance, according to the oversight subcommittee led by Rep Barry Loudermilk.

Referring to the president’s heavily-armored limousine, the report mentioned, "None of the White House employees corroborated Hutchinson’s sensational story about President Trump lunging for the steering wheel of the Beast."

As she testified before the select committee, Hutchinson—who at the time was an aide to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows—told her that Trump had said, "I'm the f***ing president!" Take me up to the Capitol now!"

Moreover, he yelled before attempting, in a last-ditch attempt, to seize the driver's wheel and follow his followers as they marched toward the Capitol.

According to Loudermilk's report, Hutchinson's statement was 'directly refuted' by the Secret Service agent operating the SUV and White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Anthony Ornato, the guy who Hutchinson said told her the tale.

Notably, the oversight subcommittee report mentioned, "Ornato testified that the first time he had ever heard the story Hutchinson claims Ornato told her on January 6, was during Hutchinson’s public testimony."

It added, "The driver testified that he specifically refuted the version of events as recounted by Hutchinson. The driver of the SUV testified that he ‘did not see him reach [redacted]. [President Trump] never grabbed the steering wheel. I didn’t see him, you know, lunge to try to get into the front seat at all."

Internet takes jibe at Trump's former aide Cassidy Hutchinson

People on the internet ended up trolling Cassidy Hutchinson after a House committee published a report refuting statements made by her.

A user on X wrote, "Lock her up," while one mentioned, "Wasn't she under oath? Perjury?"

A person also stated, "Old news. We knew she was lying. The entire J6 committee was a sham. She did this for money. Hopefully, she gets arrested but somehow I suspect she will be above the law."

Another person mentioned, "She should now face a lengthy prison sentence!" whereas one wrote, "Where is the arrest warrant? Do we even have laws in this country anymore?"
