According to veteran illustrator Jane Rosenberg, Sean "Diddy" Combs turned to her mid-proceedings on Thursday, June 5, and made an unexpected request: “Soften me up a bit — you’re making me look like a koala bear," as per CBS News.

The 55-year-old’s comment quickly sparked amusement, but Rosenberg’s sketches offer a more somber picture of the disgraced rapper, highlighting his noticeably slimmer appearance, graying hair, and understated wardrobe, far from his iconic, bling-heavy music persona. He’s traded designer looks for simple sweaters in neutral tones after months in federal custody.

Rosenberg isn’t new to high-profile courtroom moments. With over four decades of experience, she has sketched the trials of figures like Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Ghislaine Maxwell. Rosenberg says she’s used to unusual requests.

During Donald Trump’s $250 million civil fraud trial, the president saw his sketch and quipped, “Gotta lose some weight.” His son, Donald Trump Jr, had a more specific request: “Make me look sexy.” Earlier this year, Rudy Giuliani reportedly told Rosenberg she had made him “look like his dog.”

Despite the humor, Diddy's courtroom behavior has also drawn concern. According to Rosenberg, the rapper has been making expressive faces at jurors throughout the trial, sometimes approving, other times disapproving, based on the testimony.

The judge reportedly warned Diddy against trying to influence the jury with gestures or eye contact, threatening to speak directly to jurors or even remove him from the courtroom if the behavior continues.

"Combs has been attempting to interact with various members of the jury, both affirmatively and negatively, depending on the testimony," Rosenberg told NBC News.
