SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Rock band Green Day has been banned from two local radio stations in Las Vegas after vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, 52, called the city a 'S**thole' during a concert in September.

The frontman performed in Sin City last month and slammed the owner of Oakland Athletics, John Fisher, for moving the team to Vegas, per the Daily Mail.

Billie Joe Armstrong performed at Oracle Park, the home of San Francisco Giants, with his bandmates, bassist, and co-founder Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool, when he made his brutal remarks.

The vocalist said, "We don't take sh*t from people like f***ing John Fisher… I hate Las Vegas" and added, "It's the worst s***hole in America."

Radio station KOMP 92.3 responded to Armstrong's comments with a social media post and declared that they have 'pulled any and all Green Day from our playlist.'

"It's not us, Billie…it's you #vegas4ever", the caption read in the Instagram post.

Another local station, X107.5, also lashed out at Armstrong and wrote on their website that they are also 'banning' Green Day from their playlists. 

They wrote, "In response to Armstrong’s inflammatory comments, the station is banning all Green Day music, effective immediately. Sin City heard him loud and clear — and X107.5 is not having it."

Billie Joe Armstrong expressed that he was 'devastated' about the Oakland A's moving out of his hometown and to Vegas. He penned an emotional post on Instagram with his childhood picture.

He wrote in the caption, "Me playing in the sand with my Oakland A’s hat. Must be around 6 years old.. the athletics leaving Oakland is devastating. He added, "I DO believe that Oakland will come back from this.. I’ll always remember driving to del Norte bart station taking the train to the games. Some of my favorite memories."

He went on to conclude the caption, "My 4th grade teacher used to have the radio on in class so we can hear if Ricky Henderson was going to break the stolen base record. He did. Family friends crazy george Billy Ball..This one hurts."

Many internet users trolled Green Day as they were banned from two local radio stations in Las Vegas after Billie Joe Armstrong called the city a 'S**thole' during a concert in September.

Some online comments read, "Green Day is still a thing? I haven't heard their music since I was in high school & I'm 42 now," and, "Green Day rocked when they wrote songs about making love alone. Then they got political and took themselves too seriously."

A person also stated, "We used to love this band. No more. I took all of their music off of my playlists and my husband did the same," whereas one mentioned, "They were my high school graduation song and I live in Vegas. I’m 44 years old. We don’t care about them, either."

A user also wrote, "Remind me how is Oakland doing under their democratic mayor? Should look there before making a comment about LV," while one commented, "Green Day had their 15 minutes of fame in the '90s."

A person also mentioned, "Some fee advice. When you walk around Oakland leave your Rolex and nice car at home."
