Gypsy Rose Blanchard and BF Ken Urker reveal baby's gender eight months after her prison release

GOLDEN MEADOW, LOUISIANA: Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, are about to embark on a new chapter as parents, and the couple recently revealed the gender of their baby in a heartwarming Instagram post. 

The 33-year-old was released from prison on December 28, 2023, after serving approximately eight years of a 10-year sentence for her role in the murder of her mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard took to Instagram to post an adorable video, revealing the gender of her and Ken Urker's baby.

In the clip, the couple is seen standing beside a colorful balloon display, brimming with excitement as they prepare for the big reveal. 

With a pop, pink confetti fills the air, confirming that they’re expecting a daughter.

Turning to the camera with pure joy, Gypsy proudly announced, "Sweetie, I’m your mom," followed by Ken’s warm, "I’m your dad." Together, they beamed, "And you are a girl!"

Gypsy shared her excitement in the caption, writing, "The moment y’all have been waiting for… It’s a girl! Ken and I are over the moon and so excited to start our family. We’re incredibly thankful for our friends, neighbors, and families who joined our celebration today! Thank you all for your love and support!"

Gypsy, a victim of Munchausen by proxy, planned the murder of her mother with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn. Clauddine was found dead in her home on June 14, 2015. 

According to WebMD, Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSP), also known as factitious disorder imposed on another, is a psychological disorder in which a caregiver, often a parent, deliberately induces or fabricates symptoms of illness in a person under their care, typically a child.

The gender reveal comes just a month after the reality star shared the news of her pregnancy on her YouTube channel. 

Moreover, in an Instagram video, Gypsy, glowing with excitement, announced, "We are proud to announce we are expecting our first child in January 2025."

The pair was candid about their journey, with the would-be-mom recently updating on Instagram, "I’m 16 weeks and our little one is the size of an avocado! 🥑 I love watching my baby bump grow💗."

This joyous announcement follows a whirlwind of life changes for Gypsy. In March, she revealed her separation from her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, and just a month later, she confirmed that she had rekindled her relationship with her ex-fiance, Ken.

Now, as she looks forward to welcoming her daughter, Gypsy's story continues to evolve, marking a new chapter filled with hope and anticipation for the future.
