LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Halle Bailey has admitted she may have "overreacted" after learning that her nine-month-old son, Halo, had appeared on Kai Cenat’s livestream without her prior knowledge.

Bailey’s ex-boyfriend, DDG, introduced Halo on the November 6 Twitch stream of Cenat’s 'Mafiathon 2' which was later posted on YouTube by Cenat.

Halle Bailey was 'extremely upset' over son Halo's livestream appearance

Halle Bailey was out of town when the livestream aired. She later took to her X post, writing, "I wasn’t told or notified, and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people," People noted. The X has now been removed.

In her post, Bailey, who shares Halo with DDG, continued, “I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.”

Now, on Thursday, November 7, Bailey reflected on her reaction, acknowledging on X, “Yesterday maybe I did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here. I know that Halo is always safe with his dad.”

Bailey explained her concern over not being informed about her son's appearance beforehand.

"I just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing," she wrote while expressing gratitude to Kai Cenat for sending gifts to Halo.

Halle Bailey and DDG welcomed son Halo in December

She added, “Any advice for moms who still can't handle when they have to leave for work?"

Bailey and DDG welcomed their son in December 2023 but parted ways in early October 2024.

In a statement shared to DDG's Instagram Stories, the rapper wrote, "After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways."

"The decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best path forward for both of us... Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other," he wrote.

Fans respond to Halle Bailey’s reaction over son Halo's livestream appearance

While some internet users on X defended Halle Bailey's initial concerns, others called for an apology asserting that she definitely had overreacted.

"Your emotions and feelings are valid; don’t ever let m*n try to tell you how to feel about your own child," one user wrote on X.

Another commented, “First woman I ever seen to take accountability,” referencing Bailey’s later reflection.

"You have every damn right to be mad; you both should’ve agreed to it, not just one," wrote one more.

However, some had a different view, with one user calling for an apology. “Please make a formal apology to Kai Cenat; you almost ruined his reputation by portraying him to be a bad person,” the user stated.

“There is no such thing as overreacting when it comes to your baby. That was your instinct to react that way," wrote another.

Others felt differently, noting, “You saw the hate you got so you're backtracking, lmao.”

Another added, “People saying she has every right… yes, she does, but DDG is Halo’s dad, not a stranger. He will never harm his own son.”
