Halle Berry reveals Blake Lively once asked her if she'll return to 'Deadpool & Wolverine' as Storm

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There are various cameos in 'Deadpool & Wolverine' film, including appearances by Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Garner, and Chris Evans, who are all returning to the Marvel family. 

However, Halle Berry, who portrayed Storm in the 'X-Men' films, was one individual who was noticeably absent. The performer claimed that although she was more than happy to come back, she was never formally invited to play the same part again.

"No," Berry told ComicBook.com when asked if there were any discussions about her returning to the Marvel Phase 5 film. "Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, 'Would you ever be in my husband's movie as Storm?' I said, 'Yeah, if he asked me,' but he never asked me," she said. 

Lively herself has a brief cameo in the film as the voice of Lady Deadpool, one of the many Deadpool variants in the movie.

Possible reason why Halle Berry was not considered for the film

Despite the fact that Logan made a reference to Storm in 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' it makes sense why certain characters weren't given a second thought. It may have felt a little too crowded at times due to the sheer volume of cameos and storylines in 'Deadpool & Wolverine' if more characters who weren't strictly necessary for the plot weren't included.

But now, with a more appropriate backdrop, the MCU timeline has created the possibility for an even better cameo.

Will Halle Berry make a cameo in any upcoming Marvel movie?

With 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars' on the horizon, Phase 6 is expected to mark the conclusion of 'The Multiverse Saga' and the point at which the MCU truly celebrates the cameo. Players like Berry's Storm and numerous other X-Men performers might join the cast of the upcoming Avengers films.

Given that the upcoming Avengers adventures are expected to be incredibly massive, this may also prove to be a far superior way to return, according to Screenrant.

Internet wants Halle Berry 'to play storm one more time'

Netizens expressed their disappointment over the iconic Hollywood star's absence from the newest Marvel film. One X user tweeted, "I hope one day we get to see Halle play storm one more time." 

"It's a shame but if my assumption is correct I can see why. Totally my opinion but maybe they wanted to keep storm out because the movie was too comedic? Storm (the character) has s great legacy and probably shouldn't be reduced to one liners even though she could do it," added another. 

"It wasn’t the time but I feel a comic accurate storm is coming and Halle Berry would rock that silver suit," remarked one. 'Probably because they’re saving Storm for something juicier," wrote someone else.
